What We believe

Our Mission
Potosi Community Church seeks to honor God by leading people to a faith in Jesus Christ that works in real life. Equipping them to be fully devoted followers of Christ through the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.
Our vision
Potosi Community Church seeks to make a positive impact within our community by focusing on individual needs, relationships and growing deeper in our relationship with Christ. We seek to show Potosi the love of Jesus so that those who may never step foot in a church would experience the power and real love of Jesus and be drawn to a relationship with Him.

At Potosi Community Church, our Core Beliefs follow after the Southern Baptist Convention as found here:
- We believe in the inerrancy of the Bible as the Word of God.
- We believe in the Triune God- Father, Son & Holy Spirit.
- We believe Jesus was fully God and fully man born of a virgin as God's plan for restoration of man.
- We believe Man was created man & woman in his image and sin entered the world through their free choice. Sin separates man from a Holy God. The relationship was broken and in need of restoration.
- We believe salvation comes through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross; who died in our place and was raised from the dead. In believing through faith, our lives then are surrendered to Jesus and we begin a process of restoration to our original Christ-like image.
- We believe in the restoration process called sanctification; a life long process of becoming more and more in the image of Christ.
- We believe the Church is a place for all who have come to surrender their lives to Jesus. None of us are perfect and need each other to continue to walk out the call we have on our lives through sanctification.
- We believe that all of those who follow Jesus are called to a life of discipleship. First, to be equipped through studying the Word and then to share the Good News about the life giving hope in Jesus and to help disciple and equip the next generation of believers.
